Today, we offer you a different approach from traditional metal fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are metal-free and are the same color as your natural teeth. They're also bonded to your teeth, creating a stronger, more comfortable filling.
With tooth-colored fillings, you'll be able to bite down and chew food just like you would with a natural tooth.
A dental crown completely covers your tooth to rebuild its size, shape and help restore its strength. If your tooth is cracked, weak, worn, or broken, you may need a crown. You may also need a crown to:
• Hold a dental bridge in place
• Improve the appearance of your teeth
• Cover a dental implant
If you think you need a dental crown, make your appointment for a consultation with us. Receiving a crown is an important decision, and
Dr. Bateson will evaluate the health of your jaw, teeth, and gums to ensure a crown is the right choice for you.
If you decide to proceed with a crown, you'll come back to the office to have your tooth prepared and fitted. This is where Dr. Bateson will reshape your tooth and make an impression of it, to ensure a proper fit
You'll receive a temporary crown while your custom, permanent crown is created. At your final visit, we'll fit your crown to your tooth and make sure it feels comfortable to you. After a few weeks, we'll ask for a follow-up visit, just to make sure everything is still going okay.
Patients who have lost a tooth may choose to replace the tooth with an implant. Implants are placed surgically by an oral surgeon. After healing is complete, Dr. Bateson can place an implant crown to restore appearance and function of the missing tooth. If you are considering have any implants placed, call us today for a thorough evaluation.
Our dentures are custom made by our lab for a more precise fit. We offer both complete and partial options. Dentures are removable, and are a solution for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth. Call us today for a thorough evaluation to determine the health of your teeth and gums, and find out if a denture is the right option for you.
We also offer implant-supported dentures. If you have difficulties keeping your dentures stable, implant supported dentures should be considered.
A root canal is a procedure that's done to maintain your tooth in the bone, and is a better option than an extraction. It can also be used to treat a dental abscess. Once you've received a root canal, we'll typically recommend a crown, to protect the root canal from damage.
