Periodontal (gum) disease is a leading cause of tooth loss and may be associated with other chronic disease, such as diabetes and heart disease. Left untreated, gum disease will cause bad breath, painful, swollen gums, recession and loose teeth.
Fortunately, when gum disease is found early, it can be treated without surgery. Patients are kept comfortable with topical and local anesthetics. Non-surgical gum disease treatments and more frequent cleanings can help keep your teeth healthy for years to come. Make your appointment today to find out if you have any early signs of gum disease.
Dental sealants are recommended for children and teenagers, to help prevent cavities and decay; however, adults may also benefit from sealants. They coat your teeth, covering and filling the grooves so that food can't collect there.
The cleaner your teeth are, the less chance there is for decay. This is especially important for children between the ages of 6 and 14. Sealants can be applied in minutes during a cleaning appointment, and can take the worry out of your child's brushing skills.
Our dental sealants have a 2-year warranty; call us today!
The American Dental Association supports that topical fluoride treatments help prevent decay when applied every 3 to 6 months. Fluoride varnish will strengthen your tooth enamel, prevent cavities and cold sensitivity. The benefits of fluoride last for months, and takes under 2 minutes to apply. Schedule your fluoride treatment today!
Many patients have undetected TMJ problems. This is often evident by worn down enamel, chips and fractures, muscle tension in the head, neck and shoulders, or even chronic migraines.
Bite splints are made to create an ideal, balanced bite. They prevent the reflex to clench and grind. The custom made splints also protect dental work such as fillings, crowns, veneers and implants.
